Studio LV is an Italian design studio in Milan specialising in hotel interior design — from the first concept to the day the property opens. We design the spaces guests remember and the service areas that make them work: lobbies and reception, guest rooms and suites, restaurants, bars and breakfast rooms, spa and wellness areas, and the back of house behind them.
What we design in a hotel
- Lobby, reception and public areas — arrival sequence, lighting, materials and furniture that set the tone of the property
- Guest rooms and suites — layouts, bespoke joinery, wardrobes, bathroom finishes and lighting scenes
- Restaurants, bars and breakfast rooms — seating plans, service flow and the atmosphere each meal service needs
- Spa, wellness and pool areas — materials chosen for humidity, safety and maintenance
- Back of house — kitchens, staff areas, storage and service routes designed with the same care as the guest areas
How a hotel project runs with us
Every property is different, but the method is consistent. We start with an analysis of the operation: how many covers, how many keys, how the service moves, what the brand promises. From there we develop the concept, then the technical documentation that contractors can actually build from.
- Concept design and spatial planning
- 3D modelling and visualisation for validation and investor presentations
- Technical drawings, Revit and BIM modelling, MEP coordination
- FF&E, lighting and finish specification, with sourcing from Italian and international manufacturers
- Bespoke furniture and joinery design
- On-site supervision, quality control and support through opening
Why hotel groups work with an Italian studio
Italian design is not only a style — it is a supply chain. Working from Milan gives us direct access to furniture makers, lighting manufacturers, stone and surface suppliers and kitchen equipment producers, and the ability to visit their factories with you before anything is ordered.
We also design front of house and back of house as one project. Studio LV works alongside VME Group, our professional kitchen division, so the dining room and the kitchen that serves it are planned together instead of being coordinated late.
Where we work
Our team has delivered projects across Europe, the Middle East, Africa and Australia. We work with hotel groups, independent owners, investors and architects, either on the full scope or on the parts of it where a specialist is needed.
Common questions
Can you work with our architect or contractor?
Yes. On many projects we are the interior and FF&E specialist inside a wider team, coordinating with the architect, the MEP engineers and the general contractor.
Do you handle procurement and installation?
We specify and source furniture, lighting and equipment, arrange factory and showroom visits, and supervise installation and commissioning on site. After opening we stay available for maintenance coordination.
Do you take on renovations as well as new builds?
Both. Renovations of operating hotels are often the more demanding work, because the design has to be phased around a property that keeps trading.
Tell us about your hotel project — send the location, the number of keys and the areas involved, and we will reply with how we would approach it.
